Questions people ask

Which appointment should I request?
New patients should request an Initial Psychiatric Evaluation (or ADHD Evaluation & Treatment if that is your main concern). Established patients book Medication Management follow-ups from the patient portal.
Where do I need to be for a telehealth visit?
Psychiatric services are available to patients located in California or Texas at the time of their appointment. You'll need a private space, a stable internet connection, and a phone, tablet, or computer with a camera.
Do you accept insurance?
Appointment requests are subject to eligibility and insurance verification. TODO(client): list accepted plans, or self-pay rates and superbill availability.
What happens after I request an appointment?
You'll receive a secure link to the patient portal. Verify your email, complete a short eligibility check, then finish your intake forms and agreements. Once the practice reviews your intake, you'll choose an appointment time in the portal.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
TODO(client): cancellation window and any fee. Example: Please give 24 hours' notice. Late cancellations and missed visits may be charged a fee.
Can you prescribe medication?
Yes, when clinically appropriate. Prescriptions are sent electronically to your pharmacy. Some medications have additional rules for telehealth; Dr. Nnajiofor will explain those if they apply to you.
Is this a good fit if I'm in crisis right now?
No. This practice does not provide emergency or crisis services. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, call or text 988, call 911, or go to the nearest emergency room.
How is my information kept private?
Your record lives in the practice's HIPAA-compliant system, and video visits are encrypted. The forms on this website only ask how to reach you, so please keep health details for the secure patient portal.
